A Great Place for Drinks and Snacks in Seomyeon, Busanjin-gu

3

If you're looking for a place to enjoy a drink in Seomyeon in the evening, it's best to start with spots that prioritize 'good snacks' over atmosphere. In Busanjin-gu, places that are great for a long night of drinks tend to have a solid menu, making it less burdensome whether you're with a partner or a group. The places I've chosen this time have a nostalgic vibe and a pub atmosphere, with warm stews or grilled dishes that pair well with drinks. It's perfect for starting lightly in Seomyeon and continuing into the late evening.

    Lotte Yang Gopchang

    47287 58, Gaya-daero 784beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea

"Experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional gopchang restaurant in Seomyeon" Lotte Yang Gopchang is a cozy gopchang restaurant located near Seomyeon Station and the back entrance of Lotte Department Store. It's a great place to gather and enjoy a meal together, and customers often mention that the owner's hospitality is very welcoming. The minimum order starts from three servings, making it less daunting for first-time visitors. There is hardly any distinctive smell from the meat, and many customers praise the freshness of the vegetables. A generous variety of side dishes such as napa cabbage kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi, green onion kimchi, dongchimi, and fresh salad are served, helping to balance the richness of the gopchang. The owner grills the meat for you from the start, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The special sauce is plentiful with garlic and chili, and the process of finishing off the meal by grilling rice balls on the grill is seamless. If you're looking for a warm gopchang restaurant in Seomyeon, be sure to stop by.

    Sarangbang Dasil

    47301 4, Seojeon-ro 57beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan, South Korea, 3rd Floor

"A café where LP music meets the ambiance of a traditional tea house" Sarangbang Dasil is located on the 3rd floor at the entrance of the bar alley across from the Jeonpo Fire Station. The way up might be a bit confusing, but you’ll know you’ve arrived as soon as you see the posters. The interior is impressive with cozy sofas reminiscent of a tea house and sunlight streaming in through large windows, creating a comfortable atmosphere. On one side, there are teacups and quirky decor alongside the kitchen, and there's an LP player that adds to the enjoyment of listening to music. It’s said that even on weekdays, there are many visitors, often leading to a wait. The clientele is predominantly female, and the entire space feels emotionally rich. The menu requires one drink per person, featuring a diverse selection of desserts and beverages. The pudding à la mode seems particularly popular, along with coffee jelly, pancakes, waffles, and cakes. The melon soda and warm strawberry lemon tea I ordered were visually appealing, making it a great spot to enjoy sweet tea and refreshing soda.
